On August 17th we landed in Dublin. After the flight, taxis picked us up at the airport and brought us to our host families. Meeting them for the first time was both exciting and a little strange, but they welcomed us warmly and soon we started to feel at home. The first evening was full of new impressions – new people, new streets, and a language all around us.
Since then, four weeks have passed at ISI Language School. Our daily routine is slowly becoming familiar: taking the bus to school, grabbing something in the cafeteria, and spending hours in class. The cafeteria has become a place where we chat, relax, or sometimes just wake up with a coffee before lessons.
In class, we do a lot of pair and group work, which makes the lessons more lively. We speak much more English than we expected, and even though it is sometimes challenging, it helps us gain confidence. The teachers are patient and open, so we don’t hesitate to ask questions.
